Liverpool Community Spirit (LCS) is an independent, multi-faith community education partnership that works to promote social cohesion through active citizenship projects across Liverpool.
It unites diverse faith and cultural communities in active citizenship and community projects that promote positive community spirit, develop understanding and respect for faith and cultural diversity in the local area, and encourage greater accessibility and active engagement for minority and faith communities.
LCS gives young volunteers, aged 14-19, the opportunity to plan, deliver and evaluate active citizenship programmes in their local community through the LCS Youth Council. Projects include faith and cultural visits, film-making, dialogue groups and drama. LCS also delivers school citizenship workshops in local schools.
