Pendleton College has organised several successful World Religions Days for year 12 students. The days fit into the religion module of the
students' General Studies course. The presentations were delivered by
local faith leaders on Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Christianity
and Judaism.
The Islamic Society provides an opportunity for 16-18 year olds to come together and discuss issues relevant to young muslims today, marriage, citizenship, terrorism etc.
The project is also planning to start a multi-faith discussion group between students of all faiths and none at the college.
Faith in Further Education is a project that supports colleges in greater Manchester wishing to set up multi-faith chaplaincies.
