This after-school initiative involves thousands of primary and secondary school students in a wide range of sports activities. The programme is open to young people between the ages of 7-13 and offers them the opportunity to receive high quality training across eight different sports in addition to general speed, agility and quickness training.
The primary aim of the programme is to promote community cohesion and provide a safe and fun environment for children from different cultural, religious, geographical and social backgrounds to mix, make friends and play sport. During the programme the participants are transported to central venues. On arrival they are divided into mixed teams so they all get the chance to get to know people from different faiths and backgrounds.
The programme takes place throughout the year and reaches a huge number of schools throughout Oldham.
