It centred around pro-active discussion about and responses to the following issues identified by the 8-person youth working committee:

  • Gun/gang crime
  • Unwanted sexual conduct
  • Climate change
  • ransitions in Life/Leaving school
  • 'Preventing Violent Extremism'/Anti-terror laws

The National Youth Forum took place on 25 April 2008 at Rich Mix Cultural Foundation in East London, and through facilitated dialogue workshops, interactive performances and guest speakers,  provided participants with the motivation, focus, skills and a peer network with whom to shape and build the sort of informed, inclusive and just society they would like to live in.
