Interfaith Society (North London Collegiate School)

The Interfaith Society was set up in North London Collegiate School in 2006. It aims to promote understanding and communication between students of different faiths. This is achieved through meetings for years 7 to 11 and talks for the sixth form.

The society tries to work together with already established societies, such as the Muslim and Christian societies, and to hold joint meetings. This gives single faith societies a stronger interfaith focus. In addition the interfaith society keeps students informed of upcoming events and activities in London, for example the Jewish-Muslim youth theatre group in Kilburn.

In September the society looks forward to a speech from the Three Faiths Forum and a trip to the interfaith tent at St. Ethelburgas. In the future they plan to link up with interfaith societies from other schools, to meet more people from different faiths, engage in dialogue and promote understanding.
