Council for Christians and Jews

The Council for Christians and Jews brings together Christian and Jewish communities to combat prejudice and discrimination and to promote understanding and reconciliation.

Although particularly focused on the history and dynamic of Jewish/Christian relations it also uses its experience to explore other dialogues, for example with the Muslim community.

The key work of the Council is educational and it works on a number of projects with schools, colleges and adult education providers. It runs an active conference programme and produces teaching resources for interfaith education.

YES! is the youth section of the Council and it runs a number of projects both at home and abroad. It also organises events for young people of different faiths which provide a forum for discussion and dialogue and increases understanding between the faiths. Events include youth conferences, such as the G'D is Green residential conference held last year at which participants discussed the relationship between faith and the environment, and youth study tours to Israel and Palestine.
