Maimonides Foundation

The Maimonides Foundation is a joint Jewish-Muslim interfaith organisation, which fosters understanding, dialogue, and co-operation between Jews and Muslims through cultural, academic and educational programmes based on mutual respect and trust. It has an active education programme which runs a number of projects and events for young people of Jewish and Muslim faith.

One of their initiatives is Dialogue Through Art which aims to provide an opportunity for Jewish and Muslim students to meet and work together on an art project. It also offers students a positive experience of both Jewish and Islamic heritage through joint visits to relevant art exhibitions and museums.

Other projects include the Schools Programme, which delivers talks on Jewish-Muslim relations to faith based and secular schools and arranges visits between Jewish and Muslim schools.

One of their most high profile events is the annual Interfaith Football Programme, at which over 120 Jewish and Muslim students between the ages of 9-12 take part in a football tournament in mixed faith teams.
