The aim of the Make Poverty History project was to engage a group of mixed faith young people in a global campaign. We wanted to test the power of global development issues to engage, motivate and unite the group.

Diversity and Dialogue brought together students from Manchester Academy, Burnage High School for Boys and Levenshulme High School for Girls to design and shoot a campaign video based around the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The aim of the project was to build understanding between young people from different faiths and communities in Manchester and to increase their understanding of wider global issues.

The girls represented Roman Catholic, Muslim and secular schools and the students questioned Ministers Gareth Thomas and Baroness Scotland on the question of girls' education.

Continued »The Multi-faith media group, originally known as Youth Extra, is a fantastic initiative which aims to train young people from across the faiths in media skills. This involves working with a group of approximately eight young people between the ages of 17-25 to produce radio, print and web features, to encourage being proactive in media and to seek opportunities to do this locally and further afield.
Continued »The annual Music Village Festival is an international music festival that brings artists from a diverse range of faiths and backgrounds to perform in London in a celebration of cultural diversity.
During the festival the Music Village School's Programme runs a series of workshops and matinee concerts for school groups in a variety of different art forms and cultural traditions. Participants are between the ages of 9-18 and come from a range of schools in London. The festival takes place during June/July.
Continued »This school-linking project involves Year 5 students visiting a neighbouring school and spending time experiencing lessons and school life as they do. The aim is to ensure that children at these single-faith based schools are exposed to each other's religions and cultures and that they make friends across the divide.
Continued »The Nelson Youth Action Project aims to deliver a range of fun, developmental and issue based projects for young people in the Pendle area. At the same time it develops the young participants as peer educators to enable them to lead on these activities and deliver a variety of activities to other young people in the community. The project is driven by community cohesion goals and engages hundreds of young people between the ages of 15-24 from different faiths and backgrounds.
Continued »The College for International Citizenship (CIC) and the Young People's Parliament (YPP) organised a Youth Interfaith Conference entitled, 'Our Faith, Our City'. The conference brought together over one hundred young people aged between 11 and 25 from all faiths and none for a day of discussion in the large auditorium at the Millennium Point Building in Birmingham City Centre.
