Young people from all races and religions came together in April 2006 to fold a million paper lotuses at the Baha'i Centre in Singapore. The aim of the project was bring together young people from all the races and religions in the country to work on a joint project.

Project Connect was conceptualized by a group of Singaporean young people, brought together through the National Youth Forum 2006 by the desire to address the concerns that affect Singapore society today and pressing need for greater inter-faith understanding.
